Rosalind Franklin University Research Awarded $2.6 Million Grant

Dr. Fabio Re, professor of microbiology and immunology in the Center for Cancer Cell Biology at Rosalind Franklin University was just awarded a five-year, $2.6 million grant from the The National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). The funding will support studies on severe lung infections, potentially leading to new therapies for life-threatening illness. The award is the latest example of Lake County at the forefront of life science innovation and healthcare.
