Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Guides Lake County Business Direction

Lake County Partners has convened business, education, workforce development and civic leaders to collaboratively align economic priorities across the region. The new Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is an action‐oriented, five‐year economic development strategy that builds on existing efforts and spotlights what’s needed to achieve economic prosperity in Lake County.

Thank you to all of the stakeholders who helped to shape the CEDS including all those who participated in the Steering Committee, roundtable discussions, interviews, the Opportunity Workshop, or who submitted public comments on the Draft CEDS.

The final CEDS was approved by the Lake County Partners Board of Governors and has been submitted to the U.S. Economic Development Administration for certification.

The CEDS has been approved or endorsed by the following governing Boards:

The Steering Committee members represent leaders across industries – advanced manufacturing, education, healthcare, government, nonprofit and more. Through collaboration, the Steering Committee developed a strategy-driven plan for regional economic development. The CEDS is the result of a regionally-owned planning process designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency of an area or region.
