Lake County continues to shine as the location of choice for Fortune 500 headquarters, with a whopping 12 businesses making this year’s list. Overall, the list was good news for Illinois too. The number of businesses recognized in Illinois is at its highest point in 20 years, and the state has more Fortune 500 headquarters than anywhere else in the Midwest.
