Mundelein Annexes Wirtz Property, Considers Massive New Development

The Mundelein Village Board approved a proposal to annex the Wirtz family property – considered to be the first hurdle in advancing a development along Route 60 that would include 3,200 rental and sale homes and more than 2 million square feet of retail, industrial and commercial space. The development would also preserve a part of Ivanhoe Farms. This massive investment holds a lot of promise for Lake County, and the announcement caps off a strong year of growth in the community.
