In Spring of 2023, Bristol Myers Squibb announced the expansion of its global cell therapy manufacturing network to include a new U.S.-based manufacturing facility in Libertyville to enable in-house viral vector production, a critical component of the company’s CAR T cell therapies. The investment was a prime example of Lake County’s proud position at the intersection of life science and advanced manufacturing.
