In pursuit of her dream to become a molecular scientist, College of Lake County alumna Carris Borland was accepted into a number of well-respected neuroscience Ph.D. programs across the country. She is a Lake Forest College student who transferred after completing her Pre-Med associate degree at CLC. In recent years, many local graduates have headed for doctoral programs in an array health-related disciplines including neuroscience, molecular biology, pharmacy, medicine, dental medicine and more.
