Gabrielle Cummings Recognized Among Top Black Leaders in Chicago Region

Congratulations to NorthShore University HealthSystem President of Acute Care Operations and Highland Park Hospital Gabrielle Cummings on being recognized among the most notable black leaders and executives in the Chicago region by Crain’s Chicago Business. Gabrielle has a tremendous impact on healthcare in the Chicago region, and LCP is fortunate to have her serve on LCP’s Board of Governors. She leads Highland Park Hospital and the Acute Care operational teams responsible for Evanston and Glenbrook hospitals. She also has responsibilities with North Region Laboratory & Pathology Medicine, Women’s and Children’s Health and the North Region Clinical Operations team. She serves on the North Region Executive Council, along with colleagues from Swedish Hospital and Northwest Community. She developed NorthShore’s Health Equity strategy, implemented a Community Investment Fund that awards up to $5 million annually to organizations across Lake and Cook counties, and led a health care team through the July 4th Highland Park mass shooting. In addition to serving on LCP’s board, Cummings sits on the Illinois Department of Public Health’s Hospital Licensing Board.
