Cristo Rey St. Martin has won the 2021 Landmarks Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award for Restoration for transforming a vacant Kmart store in Waukegan into a vibrant school campus focused on equity and talent. The important project creates new opportunities and professional mentoring for minority families with limited economic needs by removing barriers to education.
