Chicagoland has once again ranked among the top biotech hubs in the country. Fierce Biotech explained the power of Lake County-headquartered companies like AbbVie and Baxter, noting “we wanted to spend some ink on the regions in the U.S. that have been increasing in influence. No longer do biotechs have to be based out of the usual major cities to do business. We’ve seen expansion across the U.S. as companies set up where they want to be, rather than where the industry has traditionally always been.”
