Lake County continues to be at the nexus of major transportation lines. According to new data from the Federal Aviation Administration, O’Hare saw 857K+ aircrafts land or take off last year, and Midway International Airport ranked 38th in the nation for takeoffs and landings, with 210K+. This means that, in 2025, an aircraft took off or landed every 30 seconds in Chicagoland. This highly-connected infrastructure gives Lake County and Chicago a competitive advantage as a world-class business destination. The region is further strengthened by its prominence as one of the top cargo ports in the country.
