Congratulations to AbbVie on an exciting groundbreaking for the construction of its new active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing plant in the City of North Chicago. This significant milestone furthers AbbVie’s long-term investment in Illinois and its commitment to Lake County, where it is headquartered. The facility is expected to be fully operational and serving patients by 2027.
