Site Selection Magazine, the national source for corporate relocation and expansion, has named the Chicagoland region as the #1 U.S. Metro for Corporate Relocation and Site Selection. In 2025, World Business Chicago recorded 223 Pro-Chicagoland Decisions (a 40% increase over 2024), generating 19,600 new jobs, $1.7 billion in annual earnings, and 26.3 million sq. ft. of commercial and industrial space. Illinois was also named the #2 state in the nation for corporate expansions.
