Inc Magazine has confirmed an important fact about Lake County - businesses thrive here! Inc recently released its latest Inc 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the United States, and Lake County is home to 15 of these successful ventures. Lake County is well positioned in several respects to attract and sustain entrepreneurial development, according to Lake County Partners' recent Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). UPDATE ON LAKE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

The start of 2013 has been a busy time at Lake County Partners. We were pleased to receive notification from the Economic Development Administration that the recently completed Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) has been accepted. The Economic Development Administration approved the Lake County Partners CEDS because it focused on improving the quality of life in Lake County and will have a positive impact on our efforts to encourage job creation and employment opportunities. LAKE FOREST INCUBATOR GROWS LOCAL BUSINESSES

These days, "buying local" has become a popular phrase, encouraging consumers to shop locally and eat locally. The Lake Forest Busines + Technology Incubator has taken this one step further, fostering the local startup and growth of business. The City of Lake Forest established its Incubator almost a year ago, in May 2012, and currently has 21 incubator "members." Of these, nine businesses have CEO Suite Level Membership, which means they are actually housed in Incubator offices at 50 E. Old Mill Road. Click here to read more.
